23,000 cigarettes and a quantity of roll your own tobacco was seized in Waterford yesterday as a result of an intelligence led operation.
Revenue officials made the discovery following a search of a residential premises.
The cigarettes and tobacco, all bearing Polish Tax stamps, have a combined retail value of €18,500.
A Polish man in his 40s was questioned in relation to the find.
