Car parked on tracks causes delays to trains on Waterford-Dublin line

A car parked on train tracks in Kilkenny has led to delays on the Waterford-Dublin line this afternoon.

Irish Rail says there were delays to the 1.15pm Dublin to Waterford and the 2.50pm Waterford to Dublin trains because of it.

Someone had left their car parked on the level crossing at Dunbell just north of Kilkenny City.

Gardaí had to be called to have it removed.

Services have now resumed.
