Waterford Council could increase their support of the development of the Copper Coast.
That's the view of Sean Corcoran, sand artist and owner of The Art Hand in Bonmahon.
This comes as The Lonely Planet named the area as one of the Top 100 Offbeat Areas in the World for 2022.
Speaking to Déise Today, Seán says the development of the area going forward is key.

"It would be lovely to see better toilet facilities, another couple of enterprises opening up in terms of smaller cafes and activity centres," he said.
"The council do great work but this area is designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark and I would like to see the Council getting behind it with a bit more clout."
