Drugs destined for Waterford were seized yesterday in Athlone.
Revenue officers carried out a search on a premises in the town and found €276,000 worth of cannabis and ecstasy.
They were found in packages that originated in Europe.
The packages were destined for addresses in Waterford, Dublin, Roscommon, Westmeath and Wicklow.
