A man in his thirties will appear before Dungarvan District Court tomorrow morning following an armed robbery which took place yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí in Dungarvan were alerted shortly after 4:15pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, after an individual entered a shop on Emmett Street, Dungarvan wielding a knife.
It’s understood he threatened staff before leaving the store after taking a sum of cash.
Subsequently, a man aged in his 30s was arrested by Gardaí responding to the incident and detained for questioning under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in County Waterford.

He has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before a sitting of Dungarvan District court on Friday morning, October 27, 2023.
