Waterford Gardaí are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary saw a young man held at knifepoint.
It happened last Friday evening. Between 7 and 8pm, two men entered a home in the Priory Lawn area of Ballybeg.
They were in the process of taking items from one of the bedrooms when they were disturbed by the home-owner's 19-year-old son.
As Sergeant Deirdre O'Neill has told WLR's Waterford Garda Watch, they then threatened the young man with a knife.
"They had already taken a number of items at this stage and they then produced a knife, walking downstairs and fleeing the house."
The two then fled the scene with a number of items that are of sentimental value to the owner, in particular a string of pearls, a ring, and a Pandora bracelet. A sum of money was also taken.
Gardaí are asking with any information or who saw any suspicious activity in the Ballybeg area on Friday evening last to get in touch.
