Labour’s candidate in Waterford says she is “not going anywhere” and vows to continue in political life locally and possibly nationally.

Sadhbh O’Neill was speaking to WLR after being eliminated on the seventh count in the Waterford constituency with 1,701 votes.

She received 1,500 first preference votes compared to 2020 General Election candidate John Pratt’s 3,498.

However Sadhbh O’Neill said she was pleased with her result as a relatively new candidate and she is confident about the party’s future in Waterford.
