Communities across Waterford are being asked to gather a group of people and host a coffee morning for the Waterford Hospice Movement.

The coffee morning would ideally be held on Thursday, 22nd (tomorrow) but if you are unable to host, it is asked that you donate to the Hospice to show your support for the work they do or host one on a day that does suit.

The request comes from Bewley's as this is their 30th Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice.

The ongoing support for this campaign over the last 30 years is a testament to the generosity of our coffee morning hosts, donors, ambassadors, and our long-time sponsor Bewleys," Danette Connolly, Chairperson of Waterford Hospice Movement, said.

It takes great courage for patients and families to avail of hospice services to ensure that their loved ones’ needs are met at this important time in their lives. In my experience, hospice care is life affirming and enriching,” he said.

He says he wants the people of Waterford to "get creative" with their coffees and their events.
