This year's Winterval, Ireland's Christmas Festival, is promising to be bigger and better than ever before; with a brand new, bigger Winterval on Ice, located at The Gasworks on The Waterside; Winterval will also welcome The Waterford Eye, a giant illuminated Ferris wheel to the City; and a magical Santa's Kingdom is in the works at an exciting new location in the heart of Waterford City.
The festival kicks off on Friday 17th November and Santa and the Elves are looking to recruit more helpers!
Would you like to be involved in the magic of Christmas in our city? Become a Welcome Ambassador for Winterval, Ireland's Christmas Festival, the only festival of its kind in the country. An information meeting will take place Monday, November 13th at 7p.m. in Dooley’s Hotel (opposite bus station on The Quay).
Winterval's Volunteer Coordinator, Catherine Power says, "We'd love any budding volunteers to come along and bring a friend to our information evening next Monday, 13th November to find out how you can play your part in making this year's Winterval a festival to remember. A few hours of your time on the weekend during the festival will help us enormously in welcoming visitors, both local and national, to our city. Everyone is welcome to the meeting and we look forward to seeing you there."
