City Stages supports the next generation of musicians, currently learning their trade by busking on Ireland’s city streets, to progress their careers by offering them the opportunity to perform on the biggest stages in the country.

To date, City Stages has provided a platform for emerging Irish musicians to share their music with previous performances from Korey Power, Dawna, Robert Dawson, and Uisce Jones.

Along with celebrating new and exciting talents, Three City Stages has also brought highly-acclaimed Irish acts to entertain crowds with a surprise acoustic performance from the pop band, Wild Youth, kicking off the first showcase in Limerick earlier this January.

The initiative will tour Ireland throughout the year, providing a platform for buskers and emerging musicians to showcase to new audiences and promote their music with opportunities for those to take their performance from the smallest stages to some of Ireland’s biggest by opening for major artists at selected shows at the 3Arena and 3Olympia.

Those chosen to perform will be given their own dedicated performance slot and recorded content of their performance while every musician who applies will be offered access to a series of mentoring masterclasses led by a panel of Irish music industry professionals.

The mentorship will provide the burgeoning musicians with information on everything they need to help progress their music careers, from advice on management and booking live shows to increasing their fan base and pitching their music to media.

The City Stages initiative is supported by Sony Music Ireland and AIM Ireland as well as City Stages ambassador, broadcaster Tracy Clifford.

City Stages is part of Three’s commitment through their All For Music positioning to support and nurture new and exciting musicians in Ireland and help them to grow their careers from the smallest stages to the largest.

‘All For Music’ is built around the collective experience of the enjoyment we get from music, the way we connect with people and how it is celebrated.
