Waterford's Blackfriars Three store will be one of the first to host their City Stages event on January 28th.

The custom built stages will each host a line-up of some of Ireland’s most talented up and coming musicians from 12-3pm with special guest performers also joining at select locations.

City Stages supports the next generation of musicians, currently learning their trade by busking on Ireland’s city streets, to progress their careers by offering them the opportunity to perform on the biggest stages in the country.

The initiative will tour Ireland throughout the year, providing a platform for buskers and emerging musicians to showcase to new audiences and promote their music with opportunities for those to take their performance from the smallest stages to some of Ireland’s biggest by opening for major artists at selected shows at 3Arena and 3Olympia.

Those chosen to perform will be given their own dedicated performance slot and recorded content of their performance while every musician who applies will be offered access to a series of mentoring masterclasses led by a panel of Irish music industry professionals.

The mentorship will provide the musicians with information on everything they need to help progress their music careers, from advice on management and booking live shows to increasing their fan base and pitching their music to media.

The first events of 2023 will take place on Saturday, January 14th at Three’s Cruises Street store in Limerick and on Saturday, 28th January at the Waterford Blackfriars store.

The line-up for Limerick on January 14th will consist of Uisce JonesReyltaDáwnaSmith OJ and Abe Soare with Waterford to be announced shortly.

City Stages is part of Three’s commitment through their All For Music positioning to support and nurture new and exciting musicians in Ireland, and help them to grow their careers from the smallest stages to the largest.

‘All For Music’ is built around the collective experience of the enjoyment we get from music, the way we connect with people and how it is celebrated.
