A pink supermoon's going to be brightening the night skies over Ireland in the coming days.

However, despite the name there won't be any noticeable difference in colour.

The full moon in April is named after pink flowers - known as phlox - which bloom in the spring.

It's expected to happen just before sunset on Tuesday as the moon rises in the east, and will be visible until it sets west the next morning.
