Geoff interviews Ava about Metal Gear on The Lunchbox

An interview conducted by Geoff on WLR's The Lunch Box recently has made headlines globally. It's after Irish singer / songwriter Eabha McMahon (Ava) announced on the show that she wrote a song for a Playstation remake of one of the most popular video games ever - Metal Gear 

The comments caught fire, and an article appeared on gaming publication Gematsu.

Ava breaks the news about a song for "Metal Gear" to Geoff Harris

Speaking to Geoff, Ava said,

Yeah, so that actually happened about a year and half—it was just after the pandemic hit. Michael McGlynn got in touch and just said, ‘Listen, we’re writing music for a remake of a PlayStation game.. So really what I was involved with was the lyric writing in the Irish language, and his daughter sang on the track.

Ava went on to tell Geoff on The Lunchbox that it's all been kept quite hush hush, but that the name of the new Playstation game will be announced at Christmas. She added that it will be an Irish language piece in the game.
