Dungarvan actor Moe Dunford is to star in the second series of a hit television series The Head that will be broadcast to 90 countries.
Season 2 is currently being filmed in the Canary Islands and Madrid, and exterior locations will be shot in Ireland.
It's being produced by Madrid-based The Mediapro Studio in collaboration with Hulu Japan.
The Head is a Spanish-made, English-language psychological thriller television series directed by Jorge Dorado which premiered on June 12, 2020.
The premise is that winter has fallen on the South Pole. The sun will soon disappear for the next six months. A small team, known as the Winterers, will remain at the Polaris VI Antarctic Research Station to continue their research, and their fight against climate change, under the command of renowned biologist Arthur Wilde (John Lynch).
Moe Dunford will join the cast of The Head for the second season, along with Hovik Keuchkerian (Money Heist, Riot Police), Josefin Nelden (The Restaurant) and Olivia Morris (Hotel Portofino)
It's been something of a rollercoaster for Dunford, who in April won his third IFTA for Nightride. He also stars in a remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Netflix. More here.
