QR codes are everywhere! And one place they've really split opinion is in restaurants.
Premises (internationally, if not on a huge scale here just yet) are increasingly swapping physical menus for the ubiquitous black and white codes for diners to scan on their phones before choosing their food. During the pandemic, this hands-free method of ordering was seen as the hygienic way to go but is it here to stay?
Vinny and Aoibhin discussed the pros and cons on this morning's Big Breakfast Blaa. Have a listen!
Twitter looks to have given the practice a general thumbs down, with some people holding very strong opinions while others raise interesting points about Wi-Fi availability.

WORST BUSINESS PRACTICES #38593
Restaurants that require customers to scan a QR code for the menu yet don’t offer free Wi-Fi.

My Nan if a restaurant asked her to scan a QR code for the menu 😂 I just found out this is a thing because I don’t go to restaurants. Now I want to see my Nan see it. pic.twitter.com/7De4J0eKa3

I just walked out of a restaurant because I couldn’t figure out how to use the QR code menu and I’ve never felt more like a boomer. I feel both super guilty and weirdly empowered?
