Princess Diana is being honoured with a blue plaque at her former London flat.
The English heritage mark has been put up in Earl's Court, Chelsea, west London, where she lived before marrying the Prince of Wales.
Her former flatmate, Virginia Clarke, told The Daily Mail today as the plaque was unveiled that she and Diana 'had actually driven around London talking about blue plaques, so I knew that she would have really liked it'.
The plaque reads 'Lady Diana Spencer later Princess of Wales lived here 1979 to 1981' and once described her time there as the "happiest of her life".
