Professor Robert Kelly’s Skype interview with BBC News began liked any other news clip. The attention was quickly taken off him as not one, but two kids make a lively entrance to the room! With more than 25 million views, its the news outlet’s most popular video yet.
8. Darci Lynne's America's Got Talent Audition
The America’s Got Talent judging panel was so impressed by Darci Lynne Farmer’s ventriloquist routine that they sent her straight to the live shows by pressing the coveted Golden Buzzer. Farmer went on to be crowned champion of the season when it finished in September and her audition video has an incredible 43 million views to date!
7. Ping Pong Trick Shots 3
Dude Perfect have shot to Youtube fame with their mesmerising ping pong trick shots. The video, uploaded in April 2017, has over 99 million views and is the group's second most popular video to date.
6. Ed Sheeran's Carpool Karaoke
Let's be honest.. is there anyone on the planet who doesn't love Ed Sheeran or James Corden? It was a recipe for success with the duo performing songs off Ed's new album. Ed also proved he is a man of many talents, showing his ability to fit an ungodly amount of Maltesers in his mouth - I wonder if he'll take part in our Blaa Eating competition next year?
5. KFC's St.Patrick's Day Ad
In 2017, KFC Ireland ripped the mick out of other brand's attempts at marketing their products around St.Patrick's Day. Their "marketing guy" Randy O'Brien shows how they're using a green screen in order to look like he's trotting through the hills of Ireland on a horse and he promises to up the Irishness levels by 200%.
4. The uninterpretable accent of farmers who have lost their sheep
Two farmers in county Kerry, Mikey Joe O'Shea and Richie Griffin lost over 45 sheep worth potentially thousands of euro and were interviewed on the matter. The two men have the thickest Kerry accents imaginable which made them viral sensations in 2017!
3. Conor McGregor's Song
Mick Konstantin, a 24-year-old teacher wrote and performed the simple track which is dedicated to Conor McGregor. It quickly went viral ahead of McGregor's fight against Mayweather.
2. The best Best Man
Colm Carberry, from co.Kildare, played a hilarious prank on his brother just hours before his wedding. He switched his groom suit for one two sizes too small, and filmed his brother's struggle to get into the new tinier suit. To really rub salt onto the wound, Colm played the video as part of his best man's speech later on in the day.

It's the video that had us all roaring laughing at our phones and even landed the family an interview on The Jimmy Kimmel Show! Tadgh Fleming narrated the bat chaos, complete with a towel-wielding father, a weak-bladdered pup and a skeptical mother judging from a distance. The more you watch it the funnier it gets, and I couldn't not have this as number one!
