5 things to watch out for on Netflix in March

1. Bridgerton - March 25th

Yes it is finally here, season 2 of the most watched show on Netflix (Christmas 2020). The second season follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest Bridgerton sibling and Viscount, as he sets out to find a suitable wife. Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony’s search for a debutante who meets his impossible standards seems ill-fated until Kate (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) Sharma arrive from India. When Anthony begins to court Edwina, Kate discovers the true nature of his intentions — a true love match is not high on his priority list — and decides to do everything in her power to stop the union. But in doing so, Kate and Anthony’s verbal sparring matches only bring them closer together, complicating matters on both sides. Across Grosvenor Square, the Featheringtons must welcome the newest heir to their estate while Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) continues to navigate the ton whilst keeping her deepest secret from the people closest to her.

2. Surviving Paradise - March 3rd

In case you are missing the fact that the Duke will not be returning to this season of Bridgerton, how about a little bit of Regé-Jean Page..... well his voice at least. He narrates this new nature programme, Surviving Paradise, which explores the Okavango Delta, a vast oasis, isolated from the rest of the world by unforgiving desert. It’s also a refuge, built and maintained daily by its inhabitants; in return, it caters for their every need. Big cats may appear to reign here, but in reality, the fate of every creature, great and small, is intertwined. This film explores the blueprints for building the perfect world, managing it sustainably, and maintaining it – despite extremes of drought, famine, and flood. Most crucially, it spotlights those passing the secret formula on to their descendants, who will find it harder than ever before to keep their Eden intact.

3. The Adam Project - March 11th

This Ryan Reynolds vessel sees him play a time-traveling pilot who teams up with his younger self and his late father to come to terms with his past while saving the future. Directed by Shawn Levy, it also stars Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldaña.

4. Pieces of Her - March 4th

In this Netflix original series, Academy-award nominee Toni Collette stars as Laura Oliver, a mother whose dark past is unearthed after a violent attack in her small town brings her secrets to light. Based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Karin Slaughter, Collette is joined by Omari Hardwick, David Wenham, Jessica Barden, and Bella Heathcoate as her suspicious daughter.

5. Nightride - March 4th

Waterford's Moe Dunford stars in this real-time, one shot, thriller set in one single night, on the midnight streets of Belfast. The film places us in the driver's seat with small-time dealer Budge (Moe Dunford) as he tries to pull off one last deal with cash borrowed from a dangerous loan shark (Stephen Rea). When the handover goes catastrophically wrong, Budge finds himself in a race against time to find his missing product and get a new buyer before the loan shark tracks him down.
