Waterford is one of the fittest cities in Ireland and the UK, according to a study conducted by Flora.

Tracking the fitness habits of 2,300 people, the survey found that people in Waterford do 52 minutes of exercise per day on average.

Cork has been found to be the fittest and most active city in both Ireland and Britain with an average of 58 minutes per person.

Dublin is the 10th fittest city with 48 minutes on average daily, followed closely by Limerick and Galway.

The report, found Brighton to be the laziest city in both the UK and Ireland, as people there only exercise for 39 minutes every day.

The most popular form of exercise is walking (60%) followed by running (18%) and swimming (16%).
