Irish Music Month Is Back For 2023

And we're seeking Waterford's most talented music artists in our Irish Music Month Local Hero Search.

If you’re in a band, or are a solo artist, your work could be featured live on WLR in March, which is Irish Music Month across 25 independent radio stations around the country.

You could also be in with a chance to win an overall €10,000 prize fund, get your record released and have your music played on radio stations across the country, in association with Hot Press, IBI, and BAI Sound and Vision fund.

For the month of January, we are asking all original Waterford bands, and artists to submit their music to us, by simply emailing an MP3 copy of your song and a short bio to [email protected].

Ts&Cs

• Original songs only will be accepted.
• Artists must submit one song per act.
• Song submissions must be a WAV or MP3 file and be able to be downloaded.
• Artists can be well established or emerging onto the music scene.
• If you are successful, you will receive a monetary prize for getting through to the WLR finals.
• Entries will be accepted until 5pm on Wednesday, January 25th.
