The original Netflix movie has been getting rave reviews with many disappointed that Adam Sandler did not get an Oscar nod.

Uncut Gems is set in the fast-paced world of the New York City Diamond District.

Howard (Adam Sandler) is a charming jewel distributor who can’t help but live his life on the edge through a reckless addiction to gambling, drugs and women.

But when he comes into possession of a 600ct Black Opal diamond, Howard finally has the opportunity to turn his life around once-and-for-all -- if he can just manage to stay alive, and keep the rare gem in his possession.

The movie has been called "the most exciting film of the year" with Adam Sandler giving "a terrific, career-best performance"

Dunkirk 

From filmmaker Christopher Nolan (InterstellarInceptionThe Dark Knight Trilogy) comes the epic action thriller Dunkirk.  Dunkirk opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea, they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in. The story unfolds on land, sea and air. RAF Spitfires engage the enemy in the skies above the Channel, trying to protect the defenceless men below. Meanwhile, hundreds of small boats manned by both military and civilians are mounting a desperate rescue effort, risking their lives in a race against time to save even a fraction of their army.  Dunkirk features a multigenerational ensemble cast, including Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy and Barry Keoghan, with Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy.

The Stranger

The Stranger is an eight-part Netflix original adapted from Harlan Coben's book of the same name.  Stars Paul Kaye, Anthony Head, Shaun Dooley, Dervla Kirwan and Stephen Rea.  Adam Price has a good life - two wonderful sons and a watertight marriage - until one night a stranger sits next to him in a bar and tells him a devastating secret about his wife. The same night, a local school kid is attacked and left unconscious, and Adam’s teenage son Thomas quickly becomes embroiled in a conspiracy that threatens to lift the lid on secrets in the town. Detective Johanna Griffin is handed the case but is soon derailed when her closest friend is murdered. While Adam desperately tries to get to the truth he is forced to confront a question we all fear - how well do we really know the people closest to us?
