Ophelia has caused fallen trees, wires and flooding across Waterford and the rest of the country. Continued caution is advised if you are out on the roads today as many secondary and local roads are affected by debris.

WATERFORD
Mountain Rd (R678) on the Waterford side of Clonmel is closed due to a fallen tree.
The Ballymacarbry/Aglish Rd (R671) is closed at Millstreet due to fallen trees.
The Portlaw/Clonmel Rd (R680) is closed at Kilsheehan and Glenpatrick due to fallen trees.
In Portlaw, caution is advised around the GAA Club due to a number of fallen trees.
There are trees down outside Kilmeaden at Amberhill and Blacknock.
There are fallen trees on the local Seafield Cross Rd outside Bunmahon.
Fallen trees are resting on overhead power cables at Lyon’s Cross on the local Ballyduff/Tallow Rd. Extreme caution needed.
Mary St in Dungarvan remains closed until further notice due to roof slates falling off a building.
There are fallen trees on the local Downey’s Cross/Barnakill Rd, just off the N25 north of Dungarvan.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Following the Status Red Wind Warning, a number of public transport services have been affected.
IRISH RAIL:
Intercity, Commuter and DART routes are operating, subject to delays due to debris on the line and low rail adhesion.
BUS EIREANN:
Cancelled services have resumed on today (17th), except for school services.
FLIGHTS:
Cork Airport continues to urge passengers to check directly with their airlines in the aftermath of Storm Ophelia for flight updates. Passengers are advised to expect delays and possible cancellations as airlines reschedule and assess the situation.
Dublin Airport is operating normally today apart from a small number of cancelled flights. Passengers are advised to check their airline's website for latest flight updates before coming to the airport.
Shannon airport is expecting to operate a normal schedule today but would continue to advise intending passengers to check with their airlines.
