Waterford born musician Moncrieff moved to London at the age of 19 and since then he has been making waves in the music industry.

He released his debut EP The Early Hurts late last year and his post-lockdown single Play Loud is a banging attitude of a song which he says is "a reaction to a world that seems to be getting more messed up each day.  It was written as a call to arms to young people and any one who feels frustrated and alienated by the world they live in."

Before the lockdown Mocrieff sold out his first headline show in Dublin in less than 3 hours. His growing reputation also landed support slots touring with headline Irish acts Picture This and Walking on Cars. However that was all turned on its head by the arrival of Covid-19, but he is hopeful that things will pick up where they left off in 2021.

Listen back to Moncrieff chatting to Aoibhin about growing up in Tramore, life in London, and rocking blue hair.
