On Tuesday’s Déise Today Damien is joined by Mary Kirwan-Byrne from Kilmacthomas. Mary’s father Oliver was tragically killed in a road traffic accident at Carroll’s Cross in July.
Oliver was collecting Mary’s son James and bringing him home and at around 3:15pm on the 16th of July when the accident happened. Oliver tragically died while James was rushed to hospital but his injuries were not life threatening

Niamh Fitzpatrick will talk to Damien this morning about The Dara Fitzpatrick Run which is going into it’s third year of the run. Niamh’s sister Dara Fitzpatrick was one of the four crew members who lost her life off the coast of Mayo on March 14th 2017. The run takes place on the 14th of September at Waterford Airport.
