Tramore and Waterford Arch Club were the overall winners of the Waterford PPN Community and Voluntary Awards 2017.
The friendship club for people with special needs, took the Mayor's Award at the gala event in The Woodland's Hotel, and will represent Waterford next year at the Pride of Place Awards.
For the first time there was a Billy McCarthy award, which recognised an individual for outstanding contribution to his or her community.
This award went to Derek Delaney for the many and varied ways in which he gave of his time to the Portlaw area.
Over €1,100 was raised too for the Men's Shed.

Last nights event was hosted by WLR's Oliver Carroll and Mary O'Neill ,and was held by the Public and Participation Network through Waterford City and County Council.
