On the show today Damien Tiernan speaks exclusively to Waterford man James Croke who is being held in a detention centre in Schipol airport in Amsterdam, on foot of an alleged incident in the country 18 years ago. The Ferrybank native tells Damien that he has not been given access to a solicitor or the Irish embassy.
Damien is also joined in studio by Jordans Pub owner Anna Jordan to discuss a new campaign asking people to support their local pubs. There was a massive backlash over the weekend after a video went viral on social media showing a restaurant in Dublin flouting social distancing laws. NPHET will meet to day with many predicting further lockdown restrictions may be introduced. Anna says pubs are trying to survive and says the numbers are soaring even with pubs closed.
And Damien also hears from Waterford economist Jim Power who is predicting possible the worst recession we have ever seen following the world pandemic.
In the second part of the show Nigel Kelly has all the latest on sport from the weekend.
Dr Sinead Smith, associate professor at the school of psychiatry at DCU tells Damien about the "unique challenges" parents of autistic children are facing post Covid.
Emily Duffy, deputy director with campaigning website 'Uplift'. They are campaigning for a boycott of Facebook over what it says is the social media sites refusal to deal with conspiracy theories and hate on it's platform.
Karen Dubsky, from Coastwatch, has details of the Waterford Estuary Heritage Events.
And we hear voices of cycling enthusiasts across the county.
