On today's show Damien Tiernan gets the latest from two protests in Waterford. Firstly he speaks to Bernie Power, Unite workers representative, and Martina Mooney, a hospital supervisor, regarding the ongoing strike at University Hospital Waterford.
He also speaks to Victoria Hammann, a member of the student council at Waterford college of Further Education, regarding a protest at the facility.
Also on the show, Derek Grant, director of the National council for the Curriculum Assessment on the proposals to update the primary curriculum, as well as former primary school principal Janet Twigg.
And finally Ray Cullen, WIT's department head of tourism, languages and hospitality, as well as culinary lecturer and chef Michael Quinn on the Chef Takeover.
Final year Culinary Arts students take over the kitchen of Bellissimo for 4 nights from March 24-27th The 12 students have created tasting menus with a strong focus on exceptional local produce and will be working the kitchen at the event in a variety of roles, from head chef to pastry specialist.
