1. Ireland to get over 500,000 additional Pfizer doses

Ireland is set to receive over 500,000 additional doses of the BioNtech/Pfizer vaccine over the next three months as part of a wider EU agreement. The government has said it's still committed to the target of all adults having a first vaccine by June

2. Covid-19 vaccine registration for people aged 65-69 opens tomorrow

Gardaí from the Waterford Division will help older people apply for their vaccines on the internet when the HSE portal opens tomorrow. An online registration system for people aged between 65 and 69 who wish to receive the vaccine is set to open in the morning

3. Councillors call for dangerous dogs issue to be addressed

The danger some dogs pose to the public needs to be addressed, according to West Waterford Cllrs Conor McGuinness and Thomas Phelan. The public representatives told this week’s Dungarvan Lismore Council meeting that they’ve received numerous representations from members of the public who are concerned both about dangerous dogs and animal welfare.

4. Simon Zebo set for Munster return

Munster Rugby has confirmed that Simon Zebo is to return to the red of Thomond Park next season, from French side Racing 92. The 31-year-old left Munster in 2018 but says the lure of being close to home, family, friends and Munster fans outweighed all other options when making a decision on his future.

5. ‘Ditch the disposables!’ Councillor calls for support for cloth nappies scheme

A Meath-based councillor has highlight how a move from disposable nappies to reusable cloth ones not only has huge environment benefits but could save parents thousands of euro! Speaking to Damien Tiernan on Deise Today this morning, Deirdre Geraghty-Smith said she was proposing modern cloth nappies, not the old terri-cloth nappies of old.

6. Biggest Lotto Jackpot in four years tonight

Ireland could have a new multi-millionaire tonight. The lotto jackpot has rolled over to an estimated €12.5 million. It’s the highest jackpot in 4 years and the 13th highest since the game was introduced back in 1988.
