1. Report into Mother and Baby Homes released

The report, compiled by Judge Yvonne Murphy after six years of investigative work, reveals that 9,000 children died in mother and baby homes between 1922 and 1998, including three-quarters of all the children born or admitted to a home in one year during the second World War.

2. Waterford Senator John Cummins readmitted to Fine Gael

John Cummins was one of the 80 individuals to attend the Golfgate dinner in Clifden, which resulted in the resignation of the Agriculture Minster Dara Calleary and EU Commissioner Phil Hogan. He was reinstated today after a unanimous motion put forward by Leo Varadkar.

3. Dungarvan ‘feud’ leaving residents ‘in terror’

A “feud” in County Waterford has left decent law-abiding citizens in terror according to Sinn Fein councillor Conor McGuinness who says it relates to “a small number of families and individuals” and “rears its head every now and then”. Three people were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning following an incident in the Estuary Heights areas of Dungarvan.

4. Waterford man still feeling effects of covid-19 battle 10 months on

A Waterford man who spent 66 days in UHW last March/April in a battle for his life against covid-19 says he is still living with the effects today. Tom Gallagher told Damien Tiernan on Deise Today how he still suffers fatigue and aches and pains. Listen back here.

5. New Waterford Junior League committee confirmed
