1. Just one available ICU bed at University Hospital Waterford

A shortage of intensive care capacity in the South East has been highlighted in the Dáil. Sinn Fein's David Cullinane says there was just one available ICU bed at University Hospital Waterford yesterday. Meanwhile HSE CEO Paul Reid says “ICU increase shouldn’t be the ultimate measure of success,” but added that increases in ICU capacity will be provided where needed.

2. Waterford's Covid Incidence Rate Remains Low

Once again Waterford has the lowest incidence rate of Covid-19 in the country. Meanwhile a leading psychiatrist says the best way to deal with the difficulty of lockdown is to "stay in the present". Professor Brendan Kelly was speaking on Deise Today earlier.

3. Former Waterford TD welcomes progress of Dying With Dignity Bill

The Dáil voted in favour of a bill late last night which would allow people with terminal illnesses to end their lives. The bill was originally sponsored in 2015 by former Waterford TD John Halligan.

4. Massive night for 2 Waterford players named in squad for Ireland V Slovakia

Stephen Kenny faces into the biggest night of his managerial career in just under 2 hours. His third game in charge of the Republic of Ireland is tonight’s Euro 2020 playoff away to Slovakia. Tramore's Derrick Williams and Jayson Molumby from Cappoquin are both included in the squad.

5. Viewers mock Vice President Pence after fly lands on his head during debate

Last night saw Vice President Mike Pence and Vice President hopeful Kamala Harris go head to head in their first debate of the US presidential campaign. One of the most talked about moments was when a fly landed on Mike Pence's head.

6. Whoopi Goldberg teases Sister Act 3

Actress Whoopi Goldberg says she is "working diligently" on making Sister Act 3 happen. The 64 year old who played Sister Deloris Van Cartier in the first two movies was speaking to James Corden on The Late Late Show.
