1. UHW apologises to boy who suffered brain injury at birth
Kevin Dunphy English, from Carrick Road, Mooncoin settled his High Court action against the HSE today for €20.75 million. University Hospital Waterford apologised to the family of the now 10-year-old.
2. New restrictions kick in from midnight tonight
A nationwide restriction on household visitors kicks in tonight however Minister Simon Harris has clarified that tradespeople such as plumbers and electricians can still visit peoples homes to work. Also testing capacity has been increased. The HSE says it has built it’s testing capacity to up to 126,000 tests per week.
3. Acid attack victim Tega Agherhiere heads for the US
Waterford FC underage player Tega Agherhiere is heading for Western College in Texas to play soccer and study, less than two years after suffering horrendous injuries during an incident at the Earlscourt Housing Estate on the Dunmore Road.

6. Derry Girls Star in new period Drama from Greys Anatomy Creator
Netflix today released the first look at Bridgerton, the brand new series from Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes, starring Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan. The series is set to debut on December 25th globally on Netflix.
