1. 77,000 people have received the Covid vaccine

Today in Waterford, residents and staff at the Holy Ghost Residential Home and Mowlam Nursing Home were vaccinated by the HSE/South East Community Healthcare team. The Health Minister expects 700,000 people to be vaccinated between now and the end of March.

3. Special education to return next week

Special needs students at primary level will be able to return to the classroom as early as next week but the Education Minister has still not given any confirmation on Leaving Cert as 2 unions call for exams to go ahead.

2.Waterford woman describes experience in Bessborough Mother and Baby Home

A Tramore woman who have birth to her son in Bessborough Mother and Baby Home in 1973 said she is “one of the lucky ones” in that she was “allowed” to leave the facility with her baby son. Bridie spoke to Damien Tiernan on today's Deise Today. Listen back here.

4. Waterford tops table of most ‘liveable’ counties in Ireland

Waterford is the top-ranked county in Ireland according to the Liveability Index. The index ranks counties according to house prices, sunshine, proximity to a city and natural amenity or scenery.

5. Niamh Briggs accepts that Women’s Six Nations not feasible

Former Six Nations winning Irish Captain Niamh Briggs has reacted to news that the Womens Six Nations Tournament is to be postponed until next year due to Covid-19, saying it is for the best in light of the current situation.

6. Waterford musician releases new video

Waterford rapper, drummer and producer Alex Gough has released a new song from his debut mixtape "Forever Classic" and the slick new video to accompany it dropped today. That's My Job sees Alex portray a variety of roles, with a number of costume changes. Check it out below.
