1. Cabinet considers introducing Level 5 for 6 weeks

The cabinet is meeting this evening to decide what level of restrictions should be introduced to combat the rising number of Covid-19 cases. It's believed they are considering moving the country to Level 5 for 6 weeks.

2. Jojo Dullard investigation upgraded to murder

The 21 year old Kilkenny native disappeared in 1995. She was last seen, after hitching from Naas to Moone, in a phone box calling a friend when a car pulled up to give her a lift. She has not been seen since. Her family say they know in their hears that she is dead.

3. Former White House Advisor speaks to Deise Today

A former US White House advisor Olivia Troy, spoke to Damien Tiernan on todays Deise Today. She told Damien that that she saw Donald Trump get upset when they were bringing Americans home when they were stuck in Wuhan in China because he didn’t want the case numbers in the US to go up.

4. Shoppers panic buy in Waterford toystore

Large groups of people gathered outside Smyths toystore in Waterford city earlier today as shoppers panic bought for Christmas as the threat of Level 5 lockdown looms. Some shoppers in the queue spoke to our news team. Listen back here.

5. Rain warning in place for Waterford

Two status yellow warnings have been issued by Met Eireann. Up to 50mm of rain is expected between now and tomorrow afternoon.

6. Miley Cyrus stuns fans with cover of Cranberries classic "Zombie"

During a virtual "Save our Stages" fest the former Hannah Montana star performed a cover version of the Cranberries classic. She performed with guitarist Andrew Watt and a full band at Hollywood’s legendary Whisky a Go Go Club. Watch below:
