1. Search continues in the Comeraghs for mother of two

The 37 year old was last seen at around quarter to one on Sunday. She was due to return from her run along the Coumshingaun Loop trail at 2pm but when her husband did not hear from her he alerted emergency services at 3pm. South East Mountain Rescue, rescue helicopter RII7, Civil Defence, the Search and Rescue Dog Association and members of other mountain rescue teams have been involved in the search today.

2. EU should not 'cut off its nose to spite its face' - Sinn Fein

Waterford Sinn Fein TD David Cullinane says the EU should not 'cut off its nose to spite its face' by ending its association with AstraZeneca. The company has been criticised for issues with the Covid-19 vaccination and delays in delivery. Meanwhile Simon Harris has hinted that there may be some further easing of restrictions in May than had been flagged.

3. Man found outside Waterford takeaway handing out cocaine

38 year old Alan Hearne has appeared in court in relation to drug possession offences from 2019. The court heard how a call was made to Waterford Garda station in July 2019 by a member of the public to say that a man was sitting outside Hillbilly’s takeaway on John Street in Waterford offering drugs to passersby.

4. Jennie Poole murder accused boyfriend remanded in custody

29-year-old Gavin Murphy has been remanded in custody after he was charged with the murder of mother-of-two Jennie Poole who died after she was stabbed in her home in Dublin at the weekend.

5. Dungarvan set to transform through digital hubs

The initial focus of the Hub will be on providing safe, remote workspace in the town centre for people currently struggling while working from home due to the Covid pandemic. And for those people who will be in a blended working situation over the next number of years.

6. Proposed Super League gets negative reception

The 12 clubs involved with the formation of a soccer Super League, say they will proceed with their plans despite threats from UEFA  of an international ban for them and their players. Uefa described it as “a cynical project, a project that is founded on the self-interest of a few clubs”. Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson says it would be a move away from 70 years of football history and that fans love the Champions League as it is.
