1. Government considering extending school mid-term
The government is said to be considering an extension the mid-term break of schools at the end of October to supress the spread of Covid-19 in Ireland.

3. Rise in Number of Covid Cases in Dungarvan
New figures released by the Department of Health show that in the two weeks from the 22nd of September to the 5th of October, there were 9 cases in the Dungarvan area. That gives an incidence rate of 43.9 per 100,000 population.
4. Today would have been John Lennon's 80th Birthday
Born in Liverpool on the 9th October 1940 he was shot dead by Mark Chapman in New York on the 8th December 1980. He was just 40 years old. Today people, including his sister and his widow, have paid tribute to the late star.
5. David Attenborough Pleads with the world in New Film
David Attenborough has dropped his new film on Netflix in which he pleads with the world to do something about climate change before it is too late. Maria McCann joined Ollie and Mary on The Big Breakfast Blaa earlier today to review the film. Listen back here.
6. Friday Vibes from the Line of Duty Crew
Filming has resumed on Season 6 of popular cop show "Line of Duty" after Covid-19 had halted production back in March. Stars of the show Vicky McClure (DI Kate Fleming), Adrian Dunbar (Ted Hastings) and Martin Compston (DS Steve Arnott) tweeted a video of them all dancing on set and it will give you Friday vibes.
