1. Restaurants to open from next Friday and home visits from December 18th

The government have released details of the lifting of level 5 lockdown measures, which will come into effect from next week. Retail, gyms, and non-essential services such as hairdressers will re-open from next Tuesday. Restaurants and Gastro pubs will be allowed open from December 4th. And households visits will be permitted from December 18th.

2. Cash, shotgun and drugs seized in Waterford City

€15,000 in cash, €4,000 worth of drugs and a shotgun have been seized at a home in Waterford city. They were recovered on Wednesday morning from a residence in Williamstown.

4. Former Royal Showband member Michael Coppinger has died

Tributes have been paid to the late, great Michael Coppinger of ‘The Royal Showband’ who died yesterday at the age of 81. 5. WLR Christmas Appeal in aid of St Vincent De Paul is launched

All events will be virtual this year and details of all events can be found here. These include the 12 Dogs of Christmas, and the Drive Thru' Santa. The money raised from this year’s appeal, as ever, will go directly to individuals and families in need right here in our community in Waterford city, Tramore, mid-county, Dungarvan and West Waterford.

6. Waterford girl to take part in tonights Late Late Toy Show
