1.Survivors react to governments handling of Mother and Baby bill
Yesterdays vote in the Dail which passed the controversial Mother & Baby Bill has been heavily criticised. On Deise Today Damien speaks to Joan McDermott who is a survivor of a Mother & Baby Home. He also hears from Waterford Green Party TD Marc O Cathasaigh on why he voted in favour of the bill.
2. Gun discovered in John Gilligan Arrest
Officers in Alicante in Spain have arrested John Gilligan and his son, in relation to alleged connections to drugs and arms trafficking. Four kilos of cannabis and 15,000 pills were seized by the police as part of the operation. A gun found in the raid is of the same make and model as the one used in the murder of Veronica Guerin in 1996. Spanish Police have released a video of the raid, watch below:

3. Hand sanitiser widely used in schools recalled over possible health concerns
A hand sanitiser used in some Waterford schools has been recalled after it has been proven to cause skin issues, headaches and respiratory issues. Some schools in the country had to close today as a result.
3. Bishop Cullinane responds to popes comments on same sex marriage
Bishop of Waterford and Lismore Alphonsus Cullinane says that Pope Francis’ comments on civil partnerships, does not mean he supports same-sex marriage. This week it came to light that Pope Francis endorsed same-sex civil unions, in a documentary about the Pontiff entitled ‘Francesco’ that premiered in Rome on Wednesday.
5. Clocks go back this weekend, possibly for the last time
On Sunday morning (October 25th) at 2am the clocks will move back to 1am, giving people an extra hour in bed on Sunday morning. The EU parliament are considering abolishing Daylight Savings Time from Spring 2021 which means this may be the last time the clocks will go back.
6. Review - Remake of the Daphne De Maurier classic Rebecca
Daphne De Maurier's classic novel Rebecca has been given an over haul, starring Lily James and Armie Hammer. Maria McCann joined Ollie & Mary on The Big Breakfast Blaa to give it a once over.
