1. Pfizer temporarily reduces vaccine deliveries

US pharma group Pfizer has warned that Covid-19 vaccine deliveries to Europe would be reduced “as of next week” as the company ramps up its production capacity. It comes as residents at the Waterford Residential Care Centre were vaccinated today. Meanwhile the CSO today confirmed that a total of 11 people with Covid-19 have died in Waterford since the outbreak began in March last year.

2. Tributes to 51 year old Covid victim Nigel Pim

Nigel sadly lost his life after a difficult battle in Intensive Care with Covid-19, much to the devastation of his family and friends. On todays Deise Today people who know Nigel best paid tribute to him. Listen back here.

3. Fire crews attending blaze at Co Waterford chipper

Waterford City and County Fire Service were alerted to the blaze at the chipper next to the Sweep Garage at 11.15 am this morning. No one was injured in the blaze but extensive damage was caused.

4. Revenue website crashing as thousands check tax status

Revenue is working to resolve problems with its website, as thousands attempt to check their tax status online. The tax authority said it was aware of intermittent issues with online services, which were unavailable for some users throughout Friday.

6. Emma Thompson confirmed as Miss Trunchball in Matilda reboot

Netflix have announced that UK actress Emma Thompson will play the role of Miss Trunchball in the upcoming Matilda reboot. The role was previously played by Pam Ferris (left) in the 1996 movie adaptation directed by Danny De Vito.
