Earlier in the week a parent had contacted the programme to say their child's school had received a letter from Bishop Alphonsus Cullinane saying Yoga and Mindfulness was 'not suitable for our parish school setting and especially not during religious education time.' The Bishop joins Damien in studio to explain his reasoning and he also speaks about a new drug rehabilitation Centre for West Waterford. Damien is also joined in studio by Aoife Lacey who is a yoga teacher and who responds to the Bishops comments.
Minister Michael Darcy is on to talk about Brexit and rising insurance costs while local Pharmacist Darragh Connolly discusses the impact the recent budget has had on the industry.
In the second part of the programme there is lots of talk about sport; Trevor Doherty from Dungarvan Rugby Club talks about the clubs recent success; Michael Garland talks about how golf can promote the region; And Gavin Whelan looks ahead to a busy weekend.
Finally, founder of GIY and Grow HQ Michael Kelly joins Damien in Studio to talk about the new book GIY have just released to encourage young people to learn how to grow vegetables. He also has tips on what to do with your left over pumpkins this Halloween.
