Under the phased roadmap for re-opening the country, pubs are not due to return to business until August 10th. However representative groups are hoping new arrangements could see pubs opening from the end of June, along with cafes and restaurants. This will be subject to pubs adhering to strict regulations including restricted number, customers remaining seated and no live music.

Damien speaks to a number of pub owners about this; Mary Brady Sharpe owner of Bradys Bar in Johns Park and head of the local Vintners Group, Helena Goff of the The Local Bar in Dungarvan and Sean Furlong from Furlongs New Geneva Bar in Passage East.

There is also a push from owners of Hair Salons to have their businesses re-opened during Phase 3. Damien speaks to Colm Morrissey, a hair Salon owner in Tramore, about this.

And Fianna Fail city councillor Eamon Quinlan discusses a rumoured split in the parliamentary party in regard to plans to form a government with Fine Gael.

Also on the show, a Waterford mother warns of the effects of Kawasaki Disease, which her son contracted 2 years ago, and which has been on the increase since the Covid-19 outbreak.

Ian Lennon, project coordinator for The Care and Repair Programme tells Damien what they do, which is carry out small jobs for vulnerable and isolated people in Waterford.

Karl Cullen, director of Golf at Faithlegg golf club discusses the possible resumption of the sport in a few weeks time.

And City and County Mayor John Pratt tells Damien how the community in Tallow have come together to do a short video staring local residents, gardai & fire fighters, healthcare workers, and Tallow dramatic society lip syncing to 'I Want to Break Free' by Queen. The Gofundme page is set up to raise money for St Carthage's House Lismore and Dungarvan Community Hospital.
