Damien Tiernan returns to Déise Today this morning with a packed show. Damien discusses TD John Deasy's decision not to run in the next election.

Antoinette Cunningham, Deputy General Secretary of The Association of Gardaí Sergeants and Inspectors, comes on air to discuss the restructuring of the Garda divisions. What will the impact be in Waterford?

Mailo Power was live from Vichy, France to tell Damien about the fantastic achievement of her husband Stan who completed an Ironman in 15 hours, 28 minutes and 42 seconds at the fresh age of 61!!

Comedian Paul Merton from Have I Got News For You? is due to be on Who Do You Think You Are? on Wednesday night on BBC. Mr Merton found out his grandfather was born in Crooke, Passage East. Damien was joined in studio by Josie and Declan Barry who are immediate relatives of Mr Merton.

Finally, Dr Geoff Plant, was live in studio for his final GP slot, to answer questions from texters and he talks obesity and cancer links.
