On the show today we discuss a topic that was raised by Donna on the show yesterday. Donna says that having children is a lifestyle choice and sometimes a fashion statement for some people.

We get reaction to this from Angela, a 74 year old listener from Grange Heights, as well as from Mark who is the father of three children. Damien also discusses it with patenting expert Laura Erskine from 'Babydoc Club', an online club offering advice and information to first-time mums.

Damien also chats to Dr Robbie Butler, professor or economics at UCC about the economy now officially being in recession.

In the second part of the show we remember the legendary Portlaw character 'Doc' Morrissey who died yesterday at the age of 85. He was the seventh son of a seventh son. We chat to a number of local people about him, including Mags Kiely whose mother was his cousin, and Alice Kiersey, manager of the Martin Day Centre on Queen St in Portlaw where Doc was a well known visitor for many years.

Damien also speaks to a listener Bridget Long from Ferrybank who wants to highlight new policies regarding cervical checks which she thinks places women in danger.

We also have details of springboard courses available in Waterford.
