On Tuesday's 'Déise Today' Damien was talking to Shane O'Donoghue, editor of 'Complete Car.ie'.

Shane was on the show to talk about the more than 120,000 learner permit drivers who obtained their first Licence between 1984 and 2016 who are driving the roads without ever having taken a driving test!

Shane tells us about the giant loophole as to where people can have their license expire but when they go and apply for a new test. They then don't pay for the test, get a new license and let the cycle continue again.

This has led to massive numbers for driving tests but where some people in that line will never actually attempt their test.

Also on Tuesday's 'Déise Today' Damien was also talking to EU Commissioner for Agriculture and former government minister Phil Hogan

Mr Hogan said there would be no budging on the EU position regarding that aspect of Brexit.

Regarding recent events in Northern Ireland, he described the situation as very unsavoury and said a number of other EU commissioners had phoned him to look for an analysis of what is happening.

The FG appointed commissioner said there should be no displays of paramilitary activity on the streets here and described some recent marches in Dublin as disgraceful.
