On Monday's version of 'Déise Today', Damien was speaking to Laura Erskine, 'Head of Community' for Mummypages.ie.
Laura was on the programme to discuss the new story revealed today that says that more than one in ten Irish children are now receiving a staggering 1,000 euro or more for their First Holy Communion.
The survey by Ulster Bank revealed that 13pc of children were given more than €1,000 in cash for their special day with almost a quarter (23pc) ending up with more than €800.
The amount of money parents are spending on communions has jumped by 8 per cent in the last year.
Children are now getting 617 euro into their hand for their special day, with almost a quarter getting over 800 euro.
The new Ulster Bank Communion Survey shows adults are splashing out around 218 euro on their kid's outfit, up 56 euro on 2018.

Also on Monday's 'Déise Today', Damien was talking to Eddie Reade, who is a popular figure in the Carrick on Suir community.
Eddie was on the show to talk about the problems that the town has seen over recent times. Eddie calls that there is now a petition is being collected to ask for more Garda numbers and for the local station to open for 24 hours, seven days a week to solve the drug problem that is existing in the town.
Eddie says that "even though the name that the town had received had been quelled over the last couple of years, this could be something that undoes all the hard work that people have done over the past while".
Eddie hopes that if extra Gardai are brought into the town, their presence will stop people from taking part in this activity and also help to catch people in the act.
