On Friday's 'Déise Today', Maria was talking to Gabrielle Cummins, who is the CEO of Beat 102-103 about the recent Michael Jackson documentary.
Gabrielle was quite conflicted about the documentary as she is a massive Michael Jackson fan but she also wanted to go into it with a clear and open mind. Her general consensus of the documentary was that it was "one-sided" and that it did not really take into account the Jackson family or their version of events. Gabrielle says she feels "there are three sides to every story - theirs, your side, my side....and then there's the truth."
Gabrielle feels that the documentary left her with "more questions than answers". She wants nothing but the truth to be brought forward. Her hope is that maybe people will now see this documentary and decide to come forward with more evidence.
She questions the management of Michael Jackson that they even allowed these kids to stay in the mansion with Michael and that they were able to "sleep in a bed" with Michael. Gabrielle feels that there has to be "accountability" for this.

Overall, it was another packed show on 'Déise Today' on Friday with lots of talk on a number of topics.
We had Kieran Kennedy who is a Waterford driving instructor on with Maria McCann to discuss the startling facts that road deaths are up by 30% this year so far. Kieran feels that TV road safety ads are simply not having the same effect on people anymore.
Other topics included a new report that antidepressants prescriptions have skyrocketed recently while Gavin Whelan was in the studio to talk about the upcoming weekend sporting action.
