On Thursday's Déise Today, Damien was talking to David and Debbie O'Sullivan who was giving us an update on Noah and the campaign that they set up called 'Noah's Wish to Walk'. Noah has Cerebral Palsy and was approved for surgery in the USA.
However, this surgery is quite expensive, and so the family are trying to raise 100,000 to cover the cost of surgery. Debbie and David were delighted to tell us that so far they have raised over 60,000 euro for the campaign in the space of 9 weeks.
They are thrilled at the generosity of Waterford people and are hoping now with a few more fundraisers that are planned over the next couple of weeks that they can finally push this over the line. Some of these events include a Carrauntoohil Climb on April 13, a song called 'The Climb' was recorded by local musicians Jennifer Hall and Sean Kinsella which is a cover of the same song by Miley Cyrus.
At the end of the Interview, Debbie and David were given a 1,000 euro cheque for 'Noah's Wish To Walk' from Damien Tiernan this morning. The pair were thrilled and stunned to receive this from the company.
