On Wednesday's 'Déise Today', Damien was talking to Sandra Griffin from Dunhill and also Tricha Quinn who is the regional co-ordinator of 'Make A Wish Ireland'. Tricha also happens to be the neighbour of Sandra out in Dunhill!
Sandra's daughter, Cora tragically passed away at the age of 14 on December 27th 2017 after contracting the flu virus.
This was Sandra's first interview about the passing of her daughter Cora, and she was on with Damien to discuss the unique upcoming sponsored swim that is taking place in Cora's memory with all the proceeds going to 'Make A Wish Ireland'.

Also, Wednesday’s ‘Déise Today’, Damien was talking to Taoiseach Leo Varadkar who down visiting Waterford for the naming and commission of the Naval service’s newest vessel, the LÉ George Bernard Shaw in Waterford City.
He was also down to canvass for a yes vote for a directly elected mayor.
The May 24th vote will ask the people of Waterford, Cork City and Limerick if they want to directly elect a mayor with executive functions for a five-year term.
