On Wednesday's version of 'Déise Today', Damien was talking to a host of people relating to the Ana Kriegel murder trial which ended yesterday after a verdict was given.
The jury convicted the boys of murdering schoolgirl Anastasia Kriegel, whose naked body was found in an abandoned farmhouse three days after she went missing. Boy A was also found guilty of Ana’s aggravated sexual assault in a manner that involved serious violence to her.
Both boys had pleaded not guilty and were on trial at the Central Criminal Court. They cannot be identified because they are minors.
Damien was first talking to Irish Times reporter Conor Gallagher, who has been covering the trial since it started, he also spoke to ex-Garda detective Alan Bailey who gave his take also on the trial and the way that it was conducted.
Finally, Damien was talking to Anita Furlong who is a psychotherapist. Anita was on the show to deal with the topic of how to deal with kid's that might be asking questions about this trial.
Due to the graphic nature of the trial and the age profile of the people involved, Anita says that bringing this up with children can indeed be quite tricky, and "it is up to the individual parent to decide what way do they want to approach it".

Also on the show, Damien was talking to Valerie O'Gorman along with three talented musicians to talk about the new Irish music festival that is coming to Dungarvan next week called 'Tune Fest' 2019.
They describe it as "4 days filled with sessions, workshops and concerts from some of Waterford's finest players and other renowned Irish musicians".
Valerie and the others had seen how these Irish festivals have taken off in places such as Ennis, and they are hoping that the same thing can happen here in Dungarvan.
