On Wednesday's 'Déise Today' Damien was talking mother of three and teacher Nicola Gregg. Nicola is based in south Co. Wexford whom along with her husband Austin is also a teacher!
Nicola and Austin were concerned with that kids seemed to be just stuck on their phones most of the time these day's and they wanted to write a book in how they brought up their kids.
Nicola and Austin are the type of parents that bring their kids out in the outdoor's a lot and feel that this is the best way for kids to develop their social and physical skills and so they decided to write a book on it!
The book is called "In quest of adventure - 25 challenges to do before you're 12!" She describes the book as kid-friendly as it is full of stickers and colours, "We find that kids love being able to track their progress, so the stickers help out a lot to track your progress".
"This book will take people a while, probably a year, some of the activities are only winter ones, and some of them are only summer activities so it will take your kids a while to get through them all!".
