A significant increase in domestic water usage combined with the good weather is putting pressure on our water supply with households using an additional 24 litres of water per person per day, a 20% increase from February. Irish Water is now asking the public to stop using powerwashers and hoses. On the show today Damien speaks to Brian O Leary from Irish Water.

Tuition for all Leaving Cert students has ceased and students are now banned from discussing their grades or class rankings with their teachers, the Department of Education has confirmed. Damien discusses this with Education correspondent with The Irish Independent Katherine Donnelly.

And a recent survey conducted by RollerCoaster.ie  found that over 50% of parents say they can’t go back to work if their child’s creche doesn’t open. Regina Bushell, chair of Seas Suas, the representative body for independent early learning and care providers in Ireland is on to discuss this issue.

And music teacher and founder of Tramore Ukulele Group Cathy Desmond tells Damien how she has been lending out her ukuleles and giving free tutorials to people to help them learn new skills during the pandemic.
